Homestead delegation travels to Meridian

Homestead Ministries traveled to Meridian, Idaho, Thursday to help students, faculty, staff and parents of Ambrose Christian School prepare 10,000 bags of lentil, bean and split pea soups and chili for the school’s “Feed the Need” fundraiser. The bags were slated to go to the Boise Rescue Mission. The group of 11 from Homestead Ministries included Tom and Doreen Riedner, Greg and Gwen Nolan, Brian and Debbie Largent, Gary and Lisa Largent, Audrey Largent, Steve Camp and Jody Conrad. They took four trailers of supplies with them. The group returned home Saturday afternoon.

A number of Dusty residents attended the memorial service for Dennis Moore in the church at Hay Saturday. A group of men from the Gentlemen on Horseback also came to pay their respects to one of their own.

A luncheon was served afterward at the home of Jeannine Henley.

Art and Colene Sager flew to Mount Vernon Wednesday, leaving after driving their school bus routes for the day. Thursday, they attended a memorial service for Art’s cousin and returned home the same day. Sunday afternoon, they flew to Basin City to attend an Octoberfest potluck in the hangar at the Basin City Airport. Helicopter rides were offered, and Colene took her first copter ride.

Doug Stueckle, Coeur d’Alene, was a weekend visitor at the home of his parents, David and Phyllis Stueckle.

Saturday evening dinner guests at the home of Brian and Angela Broeckel were their son, Graham BeDell, his fiancée Kim Ware, both of Moscow, Idaho, and her parents, Robert and Jill Ware of Kuna, Idaho.

Several women from Endicott were guests at the Parsonage Bed and Breakfast Friday and Saturday. The event was organized by Debbie Wolfe for the craft club. Saturday afternoon, Wendy Cronrath joined the group and led them in a hands-on fabric art class.

Dusty B.B. Club will hold its first meeting of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at the home of Helen Appel. The program will be looking at the club’s scrapbooks. Helen Appel and Liz Appel are the hostesses. Roll call will be, “How has your life changed since you joined the B. B. Club?”
