Colton dominates Elgin Huskies

A 50-point first quarter laid down the outline for a 72-30 Colton win over Elgin, Ore., Sept. 30.

Playing at home, the Wildcats (4-1) bolted ahead 28-0, allowing the Huskies only one offensive play during the stretch, keeping the ball with two onside kicks.

Colton quarterback Parker Druffel threw 15-for-21 for 308 yards and seven touchdowns. He carried the ball 15 times for 223 yards and two touchdowns. Junior receiver Luke Vining caught six passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns while Reece Chadwick had three catches for 51 yards and two scores. In addition, senior Cameron Bean delivered 189 all-purpose yards.

Colton will play next at St. John Friday for St. John/Endicott/LaCrosse homecoming.
