The 14-year-old Colfax boy who was arrested by Colfax police after he allegedly threatened to shoot up the high school has been scheduled for an Oct. 19 fact finding hearing. The youth has been formally charged with harassment with a threat to kill.
The hearing date was set Oct. 5 in juvenile court.
The youth was arrested Sept. 21 after he allegedly posted a threat to “shoot up the school” on Snapchat. Students who had seen the posting advised the high school counselor who reported the post to city police.
The formal charge was filed the next day.
