Randy D. Fisher
A memorial gathering for Randy D. Fisher, 56, Tekoa, will be Saturday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m. at the Tekoa High School multipurpose room. A potluck luncheon will follow. Mr. Fisher died Sunday, Oct. 1, at his home in Tekoa.
Born Dec. 15, 1960, in Spokane, to Maralyn Smith and Elwood Fisher, he was raised by his mother and attended schools in Spokane and Moscow, Idaho. Following his education, Randy started working seasonally for the McHargue family, first for Charles, then for Ron and Don McHargue in the Tekoa area. In 2010, Randy moved to Tekoa and went to work for Mike McHargue farming full-time. He worked 35 years for the McHargue family.
Randy lived with Angel Konshuk for the last 16 years. She survives at the Tekoa home.
Randy loved golfing and was a member of the Tekoa Men’s Golf League. He watched Nascar races on television and also enjoyed watching Do It Yourself shows.
Survivors include Angel Konshuk at the Tekoa home; their children, Zaakary Fisher of Tekoa, Damien Lo of Spokane, Alicia Lo of Indiana, Angela Smart of Okanogan, Dawnmarie Konshuk of Spokane and Jennifer Konshuk of Spokane; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his parents, Maralyn and Frank Coe of Spokane; his siblings, David Fisher of Spokane, Jerry Fisher of Arizona, Mike Morford of Spokane, Becky Morford of Spokane and Stacie Balentine of Seattle; his twin sister Sherri Macy of Edmond, Okla .; brothers, Mike Coe and Frank Coe, Jr., and sisters, Corina Coe and Renee Coe.

Necia Huntley
Necia Huntley, the widow of State Sen. Elmer (Bud) Huntley, died Sept. 24, 2017, in Olympia at the age of 104. She had resided on her own in a condominium unit at Olympia until just a day before her death.
The Huntleys farmed in Thornton and moved to Olympia in 1972 when Mr. Huntley was appointed to the state Utilities and Transportation Commission after his service in the legislature. He later chaired the commission.
Necia Bennett and Elmer Huntley, who met when they were attending Washington State College, were married Sept. 23, 1934, and moved to the Huntley ranch near Thornton. Mr. Huntley died in 1994.
She was a fan of the Cougars and the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks.
Services were Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Olympia where Mrs. Huntley was a member and an active volunteer up until the week before her death.
Among survivors are a niece and her husband, Betty and Pat Gill, and other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Michael D. McEvers, Sr.
A memorial luncheon for Michael D. McEvers, Sr., 74, was Saturday at the LDS Church at 40th and Bowdish in the Spokane Valley. Mr. McEvers, a former resident of Colfax, died Sept. 25, 2017, at a hospice in Spokane.
Born Oct. 21, 1942, in Sacramento, Calif., he was raised in Olympia and graduated from Olympia High School with the class of 1963. He lived in Colfax during the 1990s and then lived in Olympia and Spokane where he had resided since 2012.
He married Lea Moreau, former Endicott resident, July 5, 2011.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children by prior marriages, Michael D. McEvers, Jr., and Jerie McEvers Cutway, Anchorage, and three grandchildren.
Richard D. Nelson
Richard D. Nelson, 88, lifetime resident of Garfield, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at the Avalon Care Center in Pullman. Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse.
