Cleanup, German dinner in Endicott club agenda

The Endicott Community Club held its regular monthly meeting at Trinity Lutheran Church Parish Hall. The club sponsored a community cleanup Sept. 29 and 30. Many loads of yard waste were picked up by Junior High students, with Principal Bruce Porubeck driving the truck. Trucks, pickups and cars brought many loads to the trash bin.

Final discussion concerning the annual German Dinner and Silent Auction which will be Nov. 5 at the Endicott School. Advertising will be out very soon. Proceeds from the dinner will be go to a Veterans Appreciation site at the Multi-Flora Park, located on the east end of Endicott.

The Endicott Community Club hosted a Wine and Beer Tasting Party at Endicott Food Center Oct. l7. Those who attended enjoyed wines and beers with a lot of appetizers to complete the evening. This event is a thank you to the community for all the help it gives the Endicott Community Club.

Parent Teachers Organization will put on a carnival at the school Oct. 28. Food, games and Halloween costumes will be part of the fun. One can of food can be exchanged for 10 tickets.

Endicott Food Center will serve a hunters breakfast on opening day of hunting season, Oct. 14, starting at 5 a.m. The money raised will go toward fireworks for the Christmas celebration.

Willy and Anne Lowe, with their daughter and her husband, Dee Anne and Douglas Hill of Fruitland, Idaho, went to Spokane Oct. 7 to help celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Anne's sister and her husband, Betty (Pierce) and Steve Downey. The two are from Colfax and their parents were Ken and Wanda Pierce and Harvey and Joyce Downey.
