Selbu bake sale coming to LaCrosse

Dusty

Selbu Church women will host a bake sale Friday, Oct. 13, at the Gathering Place in LaCrosse beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Jeanne Levy, Tacoma; Dianne Morris, Valleyford, and Jan Smith, Dusty, spent a day together last week. The sisters enjoyed the beautiful fall day visiting and exploring Liberty Lake and Coeur d’Alene.

Last Friday, Harm and Jan Smith attended Grandparents’ Day at Riverside Christian School in Yakima where grandson Micah attends fourth grade. Friday evening, Harm, Micah and son-in-law Jason enjoyed game night for fourth and fifth graders at West Side Church. Jan’s niece, Karen Morris, Spokane, and Micah’s mother, Gina, spent the evening together. Everyone attended Micah’s soccer game Saturday.

John Allyn Murray of Bellingham, cousin of Brian Broeckel and Doreen Riedner, arrived Sunday to enjoy the Dusty area and scout out likely hunting areas.

Last week, Karen Broeckel attended interment and memorial services for her aunt, Marie Schaal Holliday, in Spokane. Holliday, age 94, was the last of Broeckel’s mother’s siblings. Also attending the memorial services from Whitman County were niece, Jeanette Nolan and cousins, Bill and Tessa Hochstatter, Colfax.
