St. John/Endicott V-netters Tuesday defeated Touchet in a five-game battle on the Eagles’ court. They booked a decisive 15-6 in the fifth game to take it.
Line score for the first four games was 26-24 25-19 20-25 and 19-25.
Kierstyn Ray hit three aces, seven kills and had 10 digs. Also in the action were Drew Curtis-Brewer six aces, three kills, nine digs, Riley Lamb three aces, 13 kills, five digs, Glory Dickerson 39 assists, two aces, 10 digs, Jadyn Corder three blocks, 20 kills, 12 digs and Roxy Dickerson seven digs, one ace.
St. John/Endicott defeated Waitsburg in four games in Thursday’s homecoming match, 25-18 25-13 18-25 and 25-20. Corder had 13 kills and 15 aces. Glory Dickerson put up 29 assists. Drew Brewer and Corder each had 16 digs.
Pomeroy’s volleyball team posted a four-game win over Garfield/Palouse Tuesday on the Vikings’ court. The two clubs split the first two games, and the Pirates then won two straight. Line score in the close match was 25-12 21-25, 25-20 ad 25-19.
Deana Caruso hit 18 kills for the Pirates, and Sydney Watco hit 14 kills.
Payson Griner led the Vikings, now 6-6 overall, with 13 blocks. Hope Kriebel put up 21 assists.
Colton Tuesday won in four straight at Waitsburg, 25-15 11-25, 25-17 and 25-3 with Jordyn Moehrle rapping 19 kills. Emily Schulheis had four blocks, and Josie Schultheis had a run of 15 serves in the last game. She finished the match with a 34-34 serving mark.
Oakesdale, which had a bye Tuesday night, was scheduled to play at Pomeroy Wednesday in another clash of league leaders. The Nighthawks took out the Pirates in three games earlier in the season in the non-league round.
Oakesdale defeated Touchet in three games on the road in the Thursday round 25-12 25-12 and 25-8 with Logan Reed rapping 20 kills and Madison Shrope booking 39 assists.
The LaCrosse/ Washtucna vs. Prescott match Tuesday was cancelled, and the two teams were slated to make up the date Wednesday.
The Tigercats Thursday defeated Garfield/Palouse in the homecoming match Thursday in a four-game win, 25-20 13-25 26-24 and 25-9.
Autumn Meyers hit 18-18 serving with two aces. Jazzmyn Gordon had 21 kills, two blocks, and 20 digs, and Alynn Harder had 15 assists against the Vikings.
