Library's 'Everybody Writes' contest announced

Whitman County Library has launched an "'Everybody Writes" contest with entries sought this year on topics of redemption, forgiveness, the power of music, faith or pain. These topics were based upon the library's "Everybody Reads" 2017 selected novel “Black River” by S.M. Hulse.

Winners of the contest will receive a Kindle Voyage or Amazon gift cards and will be announced at author events scheduled for Nov. 6-9 across the Palouse and the L.C. Valley.

Entries can be poetry, fiction or non-fiction with a maximum of 800 words. Deadline for submission of entries is midnight, Oct. 22....
