Endicott Veterans Program
by Pastor Fred Tribble
In 1918, on the 11th month, the 11th day, and the 11th hour, the guns fell silent in western Europe and World War I ended.
In 1954, Congress changed the name of the observance from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.
In commemoration of this day and all those who have served our nation in uniform, a program of music, military stories and food will be provided.
The program will be held in the Endicott School Multipurpose Room on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m.
to 1 p.m.
The meal is free of charge, but donations will be accepted.
The program will include toasts to the services, salutes to those who served, a traditional POW/MIA table, and bugle calls for colors, "Taps" for POW/MIAs, mess call and retreat to end the program.
This program is being sponsored by Endicott Bible Church as a way of saying "Thank you" to all those who have served. For further information, contact Pastor Fred Tribble at 509-657-3790.
