Fellow Idaho graduates visit Makis at Dusty

Visitors of Steve and Fran Maki Tuesday through Thursday of last week were friends and co-alumni of the University of Idaho, Mike and Valerie Quesnell of Twin Falls, Idaho. The two couples toured the campus of the university, then went to the turkey dinner at the Methodist church in LaCrosse.

There, Mike reconnected with the minister who was a former neighbor growing up in Twin Falls and attended a reception honoring the Maki’s daughter, Sarah Maki Smith of Moses Lake, who was awarded the Outstanding Alumni of the Animal Science Department at Washington State University for 2017.

Sunday, Art Sager treated Pastor Steve Szasz and his son Joe Szasz of Vail, Colo., to a sight-seeing flight in his airplane. They flew to Palouse Falls and then to Pullman.

Joe Szasz is visiting for five days before returning to his ski patrol duties in the mountains of Colorado.
