Things will be much brighter in Endicott in anticipation of the Jolly Old Elf’s visit Dec. 2. Various light displays in the town will be switched on that evening. At 5 p.m. at the lot across from the Endicott Food Center the Japanese paper lanterns will be lit and released into the sky.
Once the lanterns depart, it will be time for the fireworks display put on by local pyrotechnician Tony Anderson. The fireworks are paid for with local donations. The flash of lights from an Endicott fire vehicle will herald the arrival of Santa Claus. He will meet wth young fans at the intersection between the lot and Food Center, and then everyone will head indoors to the Food Center.
Inside, the Community Club will have cookies and cocoa available while gift-wishers visit Santa.
