Volunteers sought for Perkins House
holiday decorating
Last year the Perkins House in Colfax was decorated for the holidays by Theresa Dale, Perkins House coordinator. It took her more than two weeks to get it all done. Last Thursday, volunteer docent, Nancy Rothwell helped Theresa get out the decorations and had the idea for an impromptu holiday decorating get-together to get more people involved.
This is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is the day after the Colfax Winterfest activities. Rothwell has offered to make a hot wassail punch. If any volunteers would like to bring snacks to share they certainly won't be turned away! The decorations already have assigned locations, so it will mostly be just putting things up both inside and outside of the house.
Those interested in taking part can call Perkins House, 397-2555 or 509-478-3840, or e-mail Dale at:
