Colfax wrestlers tied with Post Falls at 110 points Saturday to finish fourth in the big Dick Griswold Memorial Tournament at Potlatch Saturday. Clearwater Valley won the meet with 175 team points.
Other top team finishers in the big meet were Orofino 140, St. Maries 131.5 and McCall 107.5
Colfax senior Dane Hall booked 3-0 in the 170 class to take the title. Hall scored a one-point decision over Kenon Brown of Potlatch for the title.
Travis Knauff of Garfield/Palouse booked 3-0 in the 160 class for first. He won the title with a 23-8 decision over Caden Hall of St. Maries.
Sophomore Nolan Burrill ran a 3-0 in the 113 class for another first-place finish.
He pinned Dalton Ross of Prairie in the semi round and Nate Bohl of Post Falls in the title round.
Senior Chris Jones rolled up a 4-1 record. Jones took a 6-4 decision over Tucker Baker of McCall for third-place.
Augie Allenbach booked 3-1 for third in the 285-pound class. He pinned Clint Norton of Enterprise in the consolation semi, and pinned Austin Tipton for third.
Junior Blake Bodey placed second in the 162 class after posting a 3-1 mark at the the tournament.
Other finishers for Colfax were 113- Kolby Sisk 2-2 for fourth place; 120-Garrett Phillips 2-2; 145-Ben Ahmann 0-2; 145-Caden Noha 3-1; 152-Gabe Ahmann 1-2; 160-Dakota Hall 1-2; 170-Braeden Roberts 2-2; 182-Mason Miller 1-2; 182-Jonathon Logan 0-2, and 285-Chayne Aeschliman 0-2.
The wrestlers are scheduled to compete Saturday in the Liberty tournament.
