Jones Truck & Implement donation

Casey Jones of Jones Truck & Implement presented a check for $5,000 to Whitman County Historical Society President Greg Partch, Theresa Dale, Perkins House director, and Ed Garretson, archives director, Friday when JTI celebrated 77 years in business by holding a Founders and Customer Appreciation Day at their store in Colfax.

As a way of honoring their family's long-time involvement in the community, the company made the presentation to help the society achieve its goal of hiring a paid director/coordinator.

In addition, they committed to doing this again for the next three years to help sustain that position.

The Society has been contacting potential sponsors and is on its way to meeting its goal of raising $45,000 per year for the next four years.
