An election for a board seat

Palouse Conservation District

will be held on February 6, 2018, at the Palouse Conservation District, 1615 NE Eastgate Blvd-Section H, Pullman, WA. Polls will open at 11:00am and close at 5:30pm.

Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote.

Candidates must be registered voters residing in the conservation district, and may be required to own land or operate a farm.

The candidate filing deadline is January 9, 2018 at 4pm.

Elections procedures are available at the district office.

AN ORDINANCE

AMENDING THE 2017 BUDGET

Of the TOWN of MALDEN

AS ADOPTED

BY ORDINANCE 510.

WHEREAS, the Town of Malden adopted the 2017 budget in final form by Ordinance 510 and

WHEREAS, subsequent thereto it has become necessary for the Town to amend said ordinance because of expenditures, which could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of adopting said budget; and

WHEREAS, expenditures are not one of the emergencies specifically enumerated in RCW35.33.081; and

WHEREAS, the Town is desirous of amending its budget pursuant to RCW35.33.091; and

WHEREAS, the Town introduced said budget amendment on the 19th day of December 2017, pursuant to RCW35.33.091.

NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the council of the Town of Malden, Washington:

Section 1. The following accounts contained in the 2017 budget are hereby amended as set forth below:

101-City Street Fund

2017.Budget $28,573.48

Increase $40,000.00

Amended.Budget $68,573.48

Section 2. The budget for the year 2017 is amended to provide for the changes outlined above, and a completed copy of the amended budget of the town is filed in the office of the Town Clerk.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective after its passage by the Council, approval, and publication as required by law.

RCW 84.55.120

WHEREAS, the Town Council of Town of Malden has met and considered this budget for the calendar year 2018; and,

WHEREAS, the districts actual levy amount from the previous year was $10,938.63; and,

WHEREAS, the population of this district is less than 10,000; and now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the taxing district that an increase in the regular property tax levy is hereby authorized for the levy to be collected in the 2018 tax year. The dollar amount of the increase over the actual levy amount from the previous year shall be $10,938.63 which is a percentage increase of 0% from the previous year. This increase is exclusive of additional revenue resulting from new construction, improvements to property, newly constructed wind turbines, solar, biomass,a nd geothermal facilities, and any increase in the value of state assessed property, any annexations that have occurred and refunds made.

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE TOWN BUDGET

PASSED IN 2017

FOR INCOME AND EXPENSES FOR THE YEAR 2018.

IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF OAKESDALE, WASHINGTON:

1. WHEREAS, the council of the Town of Oakesdale adopted and published notice of a hearing on said proposed budget for the year 2018;

2. AND WHEREAS, at said hearing no objections were raised to said proposed budget;

3. AND said budget was adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Oakesdale at a meeting held on December 18, 2017;

4. THEREFORE, said budget adopted and passed by the Town Council on December 18, 2017 is hereby ratified, approved and confirmed;

5. A copy of said budget is attached and is hereby incorporated herein.

6. Line item transfers are permissible within a fund without prior approval of the Council, where and when necessary.
