Meyer begins full port term

Kristine Meyer was sworn-in by Port Attorney Bruce Ensley as the District Two Port Commissioner Dec. 21 following her uncontested election for the seat. Meyer was appointed to the seat in April following the death of long-time commissioner Dan Boone March 2. She was the only candidate to run for the position. She will now serve a six-year term as the first woman elected to the port commission. Meyer is the president of the Avista Foundation.
