Commissioners okay Whitgro zone change

Whitman County commissioners Monday approved a zoning change for a Whitgro Inc. plant at Lancaster.

The change taking it from an ag zone to a limited heavy industrial zone means Whitgro, based in St. John, will not be required to get a conditional use permit each time they make a change, such as adding a scale, to the property.
