Serving Whitman County since 1877
Whitman County Commissioners have set a public hearing for Jan. 16 for two potential land zoning changes. The Windy Eagle, LLC zone change would turn 20 acres of an agricultural district on Pullman-Airport Road – 1.5 miles out of Pullman – to a cluster residential zone. The hearing is at 11 a.m.
The Colleen Schoepflin site south of Palouse would re-zone two areas of a 12-acre parcel to allow for a house to be added to an existing airplane hangar for Dale's Flying Service.
The first area for proposed change would take 2.5 acres of an airport commercial district to agricultural. The second would change a 1.5-acre agricultural district to airport commercial. The hearing will be at 11:05 a.m.
Both hearings will be in the commissioners' chambers at the Whitman County courthouse.
