Bulldog wrestlers top Springdale tourney

Braedan Rogers of Colfax takes down Rainier’s Marq Jackson at Saturday’s mat tournament at Mary Walker High School in Springdale.

Colfax wrestlers rolled up 141 points Saturday at Springdale to book their first tournament win of the year. The Bulldogs edged Liberty by a point to take the win. Rainier High School placed third at 126 and Wilbur/Creston finished fourth at 112.

Colfax had four first-place winners with Nolan Burrill at 113, Chris Jones at 152, Travis Knauff at 160, Dane Hall at 170.
