Wildcats nip Timberwolves

Wilbur/Creston Wildcats nipped Tekoa/Rosaila in the Friday NE round with Layne Smith hitting a three-point shot in the final second. The Timberwolves were led by Craig Mueller who hit 16 against the Wildcats. Larry Frick hit 11.

Saturday Springdale dropped the Timberwolves 65-48 in NE league action. Mueller hit 27 against the Chargers, and Garrett Naught hit 10.

The twin league losses dropped TR to 2-8 in the season.

Tuesday in a non-leaguer against SJELW, the Timberwolves rolled up a 52-24 win with Mueller hitting 13, and Billings hitting 12. Frick finished with 10.

Ty Harder led the Eagles with 13, and Dustin Fox hit six.

Mueller stacked 36 points against Valley Christian in a big 93-67 non-league win after the Christmas break, and Billings hit 15 in the non-leaguer.
