Laci Hubbard-Mattix is the newest member of the Colton City Council. Sworn in Jan. 2, she succeeds Jim Dahmen, who retired after 26 years as a representative.
A new resident in town, Hubbard-Mattix is a WSU instructor in the School of Politics, Philosophy and Public Affairs.
Councilman Chuck DeMeerler began a term as Mayor Pro-Tem. He was named at the Dec. 4 meeting, taking over from Dahmen. The Colton council now includes Dot Sharp, Kyle White, DeMeerler and Hubbard-Mattix.
