County canine licensing journal

Among items removed from the court clerk's vault on the second floor of the courthouse three weeks ago was a journal which listed dogs in Whitman County. The journal book, which dated back to the 1920s, had just two or three pages of dogs listed with fees collected at $1 for licensing a male and $1.50 for females.

The journal was turned over to the Whitman County Historical Society's archives collection and the Gladish Center in Pullman.
