OES luncheon honors Gwelda Henning

Malden Chapter 149, Order of the Eastern Star, held a luncheon in honor of Gwelda Henning, retiring secretary of 32 years.

Henning was presented with a plaque commemorating her faithful service, and Louise Belsby brought her a plant to set off the plaque.

Attendees shared memories of Gwelda’s 50-plus years with the Malden Chapter.

A brass plaque bearing Gwelda’s name and years in office will also be installed on the secretary’s desk in the Malden Masonic Lodge.
