Serving Whitman County since 1877
A slide on Albion-Parvin Road awaits repair this week as the Whitman County Public Works department holds off until the ground firms up.
“It’s still eroding,” said Mark Storey, Public Works director. Storey indicated he will confer with the Washington State Department of Ecology and Department of Fish & Wildlife, then ask county commissioners Monday for an emergency declaration to move forward with repairs.
Public Works closed the Albion-Parvin Road Jan. 23 between Albion and Shawnee Road where the Palouse River had washed out the embankment of the road next to the Farr ranch north of Albion.
