Sunny, blue skies greeted participants in the second annual Uniontown Chocolate Walk on Saturday, Feb. 10. The event brought in a healthy crowd of customers and diners to the various local establishments. The Dahmen Barn was abuzz with chatter and music, and nearly every table was filled during the noon hour for the lasagna lunch served from the culinary arts kitchen. Resident artist Craig Whitcomb, a painter for more than 60 years, was on hand sharing his artistic insights as well as stories from his travels to some 40 countries.
Participating storefronts around town were marked with balloons, making them easy to spot. Shoppers were welcome to walk or drive to each location, where they were offered chocolate as they entered. The Wawawai Canyon Winery provided wine tasting and comfortable seating, making it the perfect complement to chocolate and walking.
