Four rows of Empire Theater seats are due back from an upholsterer in Spokane this week in a second round of re-upholstering seats at Tekoa's theater.
A first section of four rows started the process three years ago and was paid for by donations. The new round was paid for by a gift from the late Maxine Shrope of Tekoa, who died last year.
“As we get money for it, we'll do the rest of the rows,” said Monte Morgan, building supervisor for the Tekoa Empire Theater board.
The board has already purchased material to re-do all 210 seats....
