Volunteers bag soup at Pullman

Dusty

Last Wednesday night, Homestead Ministries traveled to Pullman High School where they packaged 920 bags of soup with the Pullman FFA in conjunction with FFA week. Radio station KQQQ 1150 also reported on the event. Local volunteers who worked with the FFA members included Tom and Doreen Riedner and Peggy Zaring, Dusty; Greg Nolan, and Audrey Largent and Brian Largent, Colfax. Kelly Kirpes of Colton joined them.

Morning worship services at the Country Bible Church were cancelled Sunday due to bad road conditions near Moscow where Pastor Szasz lives. A lot of snow and gusty wind contributed to the bad travel conditions.

Barb and Bruce Wollstein, Lacey, spent the weekend with her parents, Dick and Helen Appel. They were here to interview candidates for the Wollstein Scholarship for Mechanical Engineering Clubs. Kate Wollstein, a grad student at the University of Idaho, joined them for supper Friday evening. All were guests of Neil and Liz Appel Saturday for supper.

Phyllis Stueckle moved from Whitman Hospital and Medical Center to The Courtyard Monday.

Mark and Kathy Vogler made a quick trip to Seattle Thursday to attend the production of “Hamilton” at the Paramount Theater. They were joined by daughter and son-in-law Anna and Chad Assareh and college friends Sandy and Chris McDade. After an additional short visit with son Henry and family, they returned home Friday with rave reviews of the performance.
