FFA ag sales wins districts

Colfax FFA members, from the left, Perry Imler, Gunnar Aune, Cotton Booker, and Cassidi Shindler, placed first Feb. 27 in the agricultural sales event which was part of district FFA competition in Walla Walla. Entrants were asked to sell Powder River Livestock handling equipment to a panel of judges and take a written test.

Kyle Appel placed first overall in the agricultural mechanics event. Marco Sandoval from Colfax also participated. Agricultural Mechanics team members had to demonstrate their skills working with agricultural machinery, electrical wiring and agricultural structures.The winners will compete at the Washington State FFA Convention at Pullman in May. Teams from Colton and Pullman placed second and third and also earned the right to represent District 6 at state.
