Palouse continues officer search

The search for a new police officer in Palouse continues with a candidate ride-along done last week and a potential part-time hire from Colfax to come in for Terry Snead, the reserve officer for the Palouse Police Department, who has served since November while the city searches for an officer to replace retiree Joe Merry.

Snead will leave at the end of April for a previous job commitment. Discussions are underway with the City of Colfax on officers working possible part-time for the Palouse department which also covers Garfield....
