Sixth great-grandchild born

David and Phyllis Stueckle are great-grandparents of a baby girl born to Mark and Andrea Davis, London, Sunday. Their first child, she weighed six pounds, two ounces at birth. Grandparents are Doug and Cheryl Stueckle, Coeur d’Alene. The baby is the Stueckles' sixth great-grandchild.

The Palouse Patchers are holding a quilt show Saturday, April 14, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 15, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Latah County Fairgrounds, 1021 Harold Street, Moscow, Idaho. Admission will be $5.

News has been received of the passing of former resident, Ruth Wiebe, of Nanaimo, B.C., Canada. She was the wife of the late Lloyd Wiebe, former pastor of the Country Bible Church. Mrs. Wiebe passed away March 2. A memorial service will be Friday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Nanaimo Alliance Church, 1609 Meredith Road, Nanaimo. A reception will follow.

Karen Broeckel spent last week in Spokane, house- and critter-sitting for her sister, Patty Wieber, while Wieber and their other sister, Jeanette Nolan of Colfax, were in Las Vegas at the W.C.C. Basketball Tournament cheering on the Gonzaga Bulldogs men’s and women’s teams. Besides caring for the pets, Broeckel spent her time babysitting great-great-niece Murphy Nolan, daughter of Andrew and Emily Nolan, joining former Dusty resident Carol Kyllo for lunch and shopping, shopping and more shopping.
