Colfax golfers posted another big win Tuesday on the home course in play which was battered by strong winds. The par score for the Colfax course was cut to 34 with the approach shortened for a wet number-one hole.
Augie Allenbach and Chance Weitze each finished with a 36, two over par, and Bennett Gray finished with a 47 for a 113 Colfax team score.
Coach Bill Clifford said the 41 scores posted by Allenbach and Weitze were outstanding given the windy blasts on the course.
McKenna Davis hit 42 and Cassidi Shindler 55 to take the win for the girls. Davis also rated an outstanding for her finish in the gusty day.
Asotin teams placed second in the Colfax course with the total for their boys 28 strokes back of Colfax, and the scores for their top two girls 47 behind Colfax.
Cusick, Harrington, and SJEL also had teams in play.
Other Colfax scorers were Lorenz Torlai 47, Chayne Aeschliman 52 and Will Dunning 63.
The Colfax coach noted changes were made this week for sites in the district and state action at the end of the season. The May 14 district qualifier has been moved to Chewelah, and the state final May 22-24 will be at Hangman Valley in Spokane.
