Selfies exhibit set at Dahmen
Palouse Women Artists exhibit annually at the Dahmen Barn. An opening reception for “Selfies” will be April 8, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown. This year’s theme includes self-portraits of the artists or energies and passions.
Artists chose different styles and media to portray themselves in their art.
The Palouse Women Artists challenge each other to create from the heart with support and direction from each other fostering an environment of openness and willingness to accept diversity and individual expression.

'Della Mae' slated at Dahmen barn
Della Mae, a Nashville-based all women string band, will perform at Dahmen Barn in Uniontown Sunday, April 29, at 1 p.m.
They were named among Rolling Stone’s "10 bands to watch for in 2015,” and have since traveled with the U.S. State Department to more than 18 countries spreading peace and understanding through music.
They were also Grammy nominees in 2014 for their debut album on Rounder Records.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for youngsters 12 and under will be available at the Dahmen Barn or online at http://www.artisanbarn.org
Chef Flores to instruct
Certified Chef Al Flores, former executive chef at Nintendo of America headquarters in Redmond, will lead a class on Moroccan Chermoula, a flavorful marinade, and other dishes April 11, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dahmen Barn in Uniontown. Chapter AF met March 26 at the Methodist Church with Diane Solbrack as hostess and Jill Nelson as co-hostess. Nineteen members responded to roll call by stating their favorite spring flower.
The upcoming Reciprocity meeting being held by Chapter AF was discussed and plans finalized. The final decorating meeting will be Friday, April 13.
The Chapter will have a final get-together with JoAn Hubbard before she leaves for the coast. It is scheduled for April 24 at Sol Vallarta in Colfax.
There is an upcoming fundraiser in the form of a Spring Tea, sponsored by Chapter FN.
May 29 is the date of the Chapter AF spring social. A bridal shower is being planned for Erin Scholz at 6:30 p.m. at Hill-Ray Plaza in Colfax.
Next meeting is scheduled for April 9 at the Courtyard. Lynn Nelson will be hostess and Mae Schultz co-hostess. Tina Scholz is in charge of the program and advised members to bring your smart phones.
Tekoa Coalition
Tekoa Coalition will meet April 10 at 9 a.m. at Kathy Kramer's home. Tuesday's Neighbors Watch meeting will at 11 a.m. at Eclairs with the public invited.
Parents with kids ages up to eight years of age can sign up for the “Incredible Years” summer class. For ages 9-14, sign up is open for the Guiding Good Choices summer class.
Tekoa is hosting a Prescription Drug take back week April 17-23.
