Colfax golfers posted a 434 team score for another team win Tuesday in a match at the par 71 course at Stoneridge in Blanchard, Idaho. They had a 47-stroke margin over the number-two finisher, Wilbur/Creston.
Augie Allenbach finished first overall with a three -over 74 and Chance Weitze was second at 75.
Other scores for the Bulldogs were Bennett Gray 82, Lorenzo Torlai 94, Will Dunning and Chayne Aeschliman each 109.
McKenna Davis placed third on girls side with an 88 and Cassidi Shindler carded at 109.
Next stop will be Monday at Deer Park for the first round of state eliminations. The top half of the field at Deer Park will advance to the regional round the next week at Chewelah with 11 berths open for state round the following week at Spokane’s Hangman course
Playing Weitze, Colfax placed first in a district match April 23 at Deer Park with Gray carding a one-over 73 for first place. Allenbach was right behind with a 74 for second place. Other scores were Torlai 83, Aeschliman 102 and Dunning 103.
Davis was fifth on the girls side with a 90, and Cassidi Shindler carded a 105.
Last Wednesday, April 25, at the Walla Walla Wine Valley course, the Bulldogs placed third as a team with Allenbach hitting a par 72, Gray 73, Torlai 78, Aeschliman 107 and Dunning 112. Gray hit an ace on hole 14.
Davis placed second on the girls side with a 90, and Schindler carded a 121.
