Oakesdale girls place second at Undeberg

Gavin Merritt holds onto the lead and took first in the 1600 and 3200.

Oakesdale girls placed second with 72 points in the big Undeberg Invitational meet at Ritzville Saturday. Colfax girls placed seventh with 35 points behind the 172 win also booked by Lakeside.

Colfax boys placed sixth with 34 points behind the 110 -point win also posted by Lakeside.

Lone win for the Bulldogs came in the girls 4x200 relay with Kaitlyn Cornish, Piper Cai, Carmen Gfeller and Josie Riebold cooking a 1:24, just .46 ahead of Oakesdale.

Cai had the top individual finish with a second in the pole vault at 9-6.
