Athletes in Action, a worldwide Christian organization, has selected Colton graduate Jake Straughan to travel this summer to play basketball against international teams and do missionary work. He will embark on a trip to New Zealand July 22 – Aug. 11. Straughan’s trip is estimated to cost $5,000, and he is looking for help with the costs. Those who would like to help fund Straughan’s basketball missionary trip may do so at the link below.
Straughan led Colton to the state 1B basketball championship in 2014, then played at University of Idaho, where he graduated in three years with a degree in psychology. He then transferred to Fresno Pacific University, where he is playing his last two years of college eligibility and pursuing a master’s degree.
