Pullman Posse swept Ferris 14-12 and 19-6 last Thursday in a Legion AA twin bill at Pullman High School. Both games closed down after five frames on the 10-run lead rule.
Posse scored 11 runs in the first game to take control. Mitch LaVelle tripled and doubled in the first game. Zack Carpenter had three hits with a double, and Eric Akesson had two hits with a double.
Ferris stacked six runs in the first inning of the second game, but Posse charged for 10 runs in the third inning and eight more in the fourth.
Monday at Moscow the Blue Devils defeated Pullman Posse 9-8 and 11-1 in a doubleheader. The Moscow club rolled up nine runs in the first three innings and held on when Posse scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth. Oak Held had two hits with a double to lead the five-hit Posse offense.
The second game shut down after five innings after Moscow scored six runs in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth to hit the 10-run margin. Posse had just two hits in the second game.
