Shirley Jean Morasch, 68, of Endicott, Wash., passed away September 13, 2018 in Spokane, Wash. Shirley was born March 31, 1950 in Colfax, Wash., to Benjamin and Agnes (McCormick) Robinson.
She was raised in Garfield, Wash., and then attended Eastern Washington University where she received her bachelors degree. On December 26, 1971, Shirley married Robert (Bob) Morasch. They lived in Germany and visited 13 countries while Bob served in the US Army. After two years abroad, they moved to the farm outside of Endicott where they raised their family.
Shirley was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family was the center of her life and time spent together was always cherished. Shirley was a very generous individual who enjoyed picking out just the right gifts for the special people in her life and often planned fun outings with her friends. She was an active 4-H leader through the years and loved traveling, antiques, playing pinochle and working in her yard. Shirley loved to entertain family and friends and especially enjoyed the holiday seasons.
She was a vibrant member of the Endicott community. She served as the town librarian for many years and was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Robert (Bob) Morasch in Endicott; her two daughters, Laura (Michael) Hayes and Jeanine (Michael) Stolp both of Spokane, Wash .; two brothers, Ronald (Marlene) Robinson of Delta Junction, Alaska, and Melvin (Margie) Robinson of Palouse, Wash .; her sister, Linda (Cormac) Thompson of Prosser, Wash .; and her four grandchildren, Riley, Noelle, Hadley and August. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Robinson.
A memorial service and reception will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott. The family suggests memorial gifts in Shirley's memory be made to: Hospice House South, Spokane or Trinity Lutheran Church, Endicott.
