BOCC okays zone change on Hwy. 27

Whitman County Commissioners Monday approved a zone change for property owner Bill Swan, who requested a 3.4-acre parcel to go from agricultural to limited light industrial district. The land, just off State Route 27 between Palouse and Pullman, features a boat repair shop which Swan intends to convert into a warehouse for commercial goods.

Katrin Kunz, assistant county planner, reported to commissioners before that no objections were raised from adjacent landowners or at a Sept. 5 hearing by the county Planning Commission.
