Palouse, Uniontown agree on officer

The Palouse city council voted Sept. 25 to approve a hold harmless agreement with Uniontown to allow Palouse Police Officer Joe Handley to work part-time as an officer for Uniontown. Handley also works in Colfax part-time.

He remains full-time with the Palouse department which also covers Garfield.

Under the agreement, Uniontown and Palouse each agree to hold the other harmless from any claims or damages which could evolve from Handley’s duty in one of the towns....
