Isla P. Thompson, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at Memory Villas at Bishop Place in Pullman where she resided for the past year.
Mrs. Thompson's urn will be buried with her husband, Bob, at the Greenwood Cemetery, Palouse, on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at 2 p.m.
Born Jan. 3, 1933, at Palouse to Brace and Ethel Wiley Maryott, she attended the Palouse schools and was valedictorian of her class in 1951. She later attended Kinman Business College in Spokane for one year.
She and Bob Thompson were married March 9, 1952, at Palouse and the couple traveled extensively while he served in the Navy. After his retirement, they made their home at Oak Harbor, and in Rathdrum, Idaho. Mr. Thompson died in 2014.
Isla moved to Whitman Senior Living in Pullman in 2014 and later to Memory Villas at Bishop Place.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She enjoyed Western line dancing, cake decorating and canvas art stitching.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Thompson, Palouse; Linda Thompson, Pullman, and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's research.
