The McGregor Company Oct. 10 was awarded the 2018 Association of Washington Businesses Manufacturer of the Year Award. AWB President Kris Johnson presented the award during a visit to the McGregor plant at Ritzville as part of a seven-day AWB statewide tour. Senate Minority Leader Mark Schoesler of Ritzville, right, joined Alex, left, and Ian McGregor, center, to receive the 2018 AWB award. McGregor manufactures fertilizer formulations and equipment. The company was founded in 1882, making it one of the oldest businesses in Washington. It is still family owned and has 240 employees. McGregor serves 43 rural towns between the Cascades and the Rockies.
