Serving Whitman County since 1877
A group of women from the Endicott area had their mammograms at Whitman Health and Medical Center Friday, Oct. 12. They have been meeting each year since 2004 for this event. They go together for support, visiting, a little shopping and have their free lunch at the hospital cafeteria.
The hospital staff works with the group to get them all in before lunch, as they arrived at 8 a.m. The staff is there to greet them, and the process begins.
Elizabeth Circle at Trinity Lutheran Church hosted a baked potato lunch at the church to raise money to support their project of making little quilts and then bundling them around clothing and items for little children in under-developed countries. Thirty-seven bundles were blessed during the morning church service. The tables were set with baked potatoes with lots of toppings and a dessert table. Interim pastor for this event was Gail Duba from Spokane. Her husband Dave attended this service and lunch.
Endicott Food Center's hunters' breakfast was served Saturday morning. They served plain and pumpkin pancakes, scrambled eggs, little pig sausages, maple bars, sausage gravy and biscuits. Funds from the event go to Christmas fireworks.
Louise Owen had guests last week of cousin Jim and his wife Linda Kerkman. They traveled from Layton, Utah.
Dad's Night In Pinochle Group met at the home of Kathy Storment at her Pullman home. The house was all decorated with the Halloween theme.
