Serving Whitman County since 1877
Colfax was primed last Wednesday, Oct. 17, to meet the ESPN crew which rolled south through town on the way to their Saturday morning GameDay production at Washington State University.
Two of the lead buses featured ESPN markings and the rest appeared to be charters. The convoy was escorted by a black squad car.
The convoy was greeted by WSU flag wavers who had waited two to three hours for ESPN to roll through town at about 2 p.m.
Colfax greeters were linked to a flag crew at Papé north of town, which vowed to alert Colfax when the convoy passed there.
A Q-6 Television video report of the Cougar fans greeting the convoy at Pullman has been posted on Google.
