Public Works switches to winter hours Nov. 5

Whitman County Public Works returns to its winter schedule Nov. 5, running five eight-hour days from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The change marks the end of the summer schedule of four ten-hour days, which began in April at daylight savings time.

The five days per week schedule costs the county more money, as now there may be five round trips made per week to a job site instead of four, along with less daylight time to work.
