The winners of the 2018 Palouse Empire Fair Beef Carcass Contest were announced Oct. 17 in the WSU Meats Laboratory. Seventy market steers that showed in the 4H and FFA divisions of the Palouse Empire Fair vied for prize money in the contest. Top honors went to Grace Morris who received $1,000, the Joe Palumbo traveling trophy and a championship vest.
Reserve Champion was Jeronimo Reynoso-Heaton, who received $750 and a championship vest. Timothy Daves, Xico Reynoso-Heaton, Dustin Broeckel and Valente Reynoso-Heaton each received $400.
