Colfax volleyball players will travel to St. George's today for the final chapters of the NE playoff action which will send four teams to the state finals at Yakima next week.
Colfax, which stopped Davenport in a three-game win last Thursday at Davenport, will face Asotin in the semi-final round of the playoff at 5 p.m.
Semi-final winners get a guarantee of a state berth because both the winner and the loser of the title game advance to state.
Colfax last week dominated the Gorillas 25-13, 25-18 and 25-18 in the first round of action. Asotin dispatched league newcomer Chewelah 25-23, 26-23 and 25-17 in the other opening match at Davenport.
Asotin was the only team to trip the Bulldogs in their 9-1 run through the NE-south competition.
Northwest Christian and Liberty won their matches in first round action at Reardan, and will face off in the other semi today at St. George's.
Winners of the semi matches will collide in the NE title game at 8 p.m. tonight.
At Davenport. Kylie Kackman hit 11 aces in the win over the Gorillas. In the second game, Kackman went to the serve line with Colfax leading 1-0, and she stayed at the line until the Bulldogs posted a 12-0 lead. Kackman also had a run of seven serve points in the third game.
Kierstyn York hit five kills in the match. York, Sophie Klaveano, Kennedy Schmit and Asher Cai were each credited with one block. Anni Cox had six digs.
