The very first Cooking for a Cause session Nov. 12 in the community kitchen at Community Action Center, will feature guest chef Joan Swensen who will talk on how to cook a delicious meal.
All funds raised will support Community Food, building resilience in the local food system through gardening, a food pantry, nutrition education, food rescue and waste reduction.
The menu will include green salad, jasmine rice, snap peas, sesame chicken with plum sauces and a dessert of bittersweet molten cakes.
