Tekoa/Rosalia boys added two strong wins last week before the Christmas break. The Timberwolves powered past SJEL 72-42 in a non-leaguer Dec. 19 and rolled over Valley Christian in another non-leaguer Dec. 20 on the Tekoa court to advance the record to 5-3.
The Timberwolves will return to NE-South league action Jan. 4 when they host Asotin at Rosalia. The Wolves are now 1-1 in league play.
Asotin will visit after with pre-holiday record at 3-4 after edging Garfield/Palouse 61-54 last Friday in the second round of the tournament at Colton.
Garrett Naught led TR at St. John with 16 points, and Noah Beach hit 10. Ty Harder led the Eagles with 14 points, and Owen Swannack and Kameron Greenhalgh each hit six points.
Naught stacked 18 points against Valley Christian for the Timberwolves in the game at Tekoa, and Noah Beach hit 10. Also scoring for TR were Anthony Gehring five, Riley McLain six, Craig Mueller seven, Mitchell Billings six, Keegan French seven and Kenneth Lenoir four.
St. John/Endicott/LaCrosse topped the TR girls 51-40 in the Friday non-league round at St. John. Brooklyn Bailey led the Eagles with a game-high 18 points. Also scoring for SJE were Alynn Harder 10, Riley Lamb three, Glory Dickerson six, Roxie Dickerson two, Drew Curtis-Brewer 10 and Logan Stanley two.
Scoring for TR were Hannah Theis nine, Paige Brown two, Delaney Lehn two, Emily Kramer 12, Megan Billings five and Elise Wilkins 10.
Valley Christian Saturday defeated the TR girls 59-31. Scorers for TR were Theis six, Kramer six, Billings five, Wilkins eight, McLain four, and Bogenreif two.
