The influenza epidemic which has been raging throughout the county for the last two months is slowly subsiding, is the statement that was made by Dr. John Benson before the members of the city council at their meeting at the city hall Monday night.

J.K. Mullaly and Jack Smith were on the public road between Colfax and Endicott Friday when they were charged with having an undue amount of whiskey in their possession. The men were traveling in an automobile and it is said there was a considerable quantity of whiskey concealed in sacks in the car.
