On March 22 Rebekah "Bekah" Kraut and her mother Amy of Colfax will receive a once-in-a-lifetime experience from Front Row Foundation to make Rebekah’s dreams come true for one special weekend. Front Row Foundation, founded in 2008, is a non-profit organization that puts people braving health conditions in the front row of their favorite concerts, sporting events and live theater.
“Our dream is to provide a front row experience that will allow individuals to set aside any physical or emotional challenges while they celebrate the beauty and emotional energy of life,” the foundation states on its website.
Rebekah suffers from Alport Syndrome which has caused her to go into full renal failure. This life-threatening illness runs in her family and even took her father's life. She requires 10 hours of dialysis a day to be able to live.
Her number-one dream is to see Kelly Clarkson live and the Colfax duo will travel to Indianapolis, Ind.
“Our goal is to provide an experience that she and her family will never forget, and allow her to celebrate her day in the front row," said Rebecca Herzog, director of events for the foundation.
Rebekah’s brother and sister also have the disease and her mother works two jobs to support her family.
Front Row volunteers do what they do because of their deep belief in the healing powers of the mind and its immeasurable ability to nourish the human spirit.
